Smaller lamps do the quiet work in a home, lighting the spots you actually use rather than the whole room. The Stanthorpe Glass Table Lamp Amber 36cm is built for exactly that, with an irregular amber glass base that gives it more interest than its size suggests. At 36cm it fits a reading nook, a study desk or a bedside table where surface space is limited. The cotton shade keeps the light close and soft, which is what you want for reading rather than general lighting. Its irregular shape means it sits well alongside a mix of styles rather than committing to one. It takes one E27 globe.
