Vigneti Massa Colli Tortonesi Timorasso 'Derthona' 2016

Walter Massa is credited for reviving the Timorasso grape in the early 80s, a unique variety native to the Colli Tortonesi, characterized by high sugar, thick skins, and high acidity. Fruit for the 2016 ‘Derthona’ is hand-harvested and fermented in steel, aged in both steel and concrete. Supple and structured, this is definitely a food wine, especially when paired with pork or rich poultry dishes.
